Leaksville Moravian Church, 712 McConnell
Street, Eden, will hold its fifth annual all-you-can-
eat pancake breakfast Saturday, February 2; from
7 to 11 a.m. Tickets are $5 per person, available at
the door. All proceeds will be donated to Eden’s
Cooperative Christian Ministries (CCM).
CCM’s purpose is to assist persons in need in the
City of Eden. The service it provides is monetary
assistance for those experiencing a financial
crisis by payment of a portion of a bill for basic
heating or shelter related needs; it also operates
a food bank. Leaksville Moravian Church houses
the CCM Food Bank as a service to the
community.
Because pancakes are a traditional pre-Lenten
food, Leaksville Moravian sponsors its pancake
breakfast on the Saturday before Ash
Wednesday, the first day of Lent.
