Womens fellowship News
The Women’s Fellowship held their second quarter meeting on March
10th, joining the Men’s Fellowship for dinner prior to the meeting. This has
been a great time in joining together to catch up on news and have a great
time.

We have been very busy the past three months and have several projects
planned for the upcoming months:

Holy Week Readings – members of the fellowship provided dinner prior to
the Holy Week Readings.

Mission Committee – The fellowship has donated $2500.00 to the Mission
Committee for their projects. We will be providing baked goods for the
Golf Tournament as well as volunteering where needed on the day of the
tournament.

Easter Lilies – Our Easter Lilly fund raiser was successful. A total of 37
Lilies decorated the sanctuary on Easter Sunday. Thank you to everyone
who purchased.

Fellowship Hall Upgrades – The Women & Men’s Fellowships are
continuing to work on the upgrades to the Fellowship Hall. New tables are
being purchased, the cornice boards are going to be recovered and then
finish up with new paint.

Parlor update – New curtains have been purchased and hung in the parlor.

Mother’s Day Bulletin – We will sponsor the Mother’s & Father’s Day
Bulletins. Cost per name will be $1.00.

Pecans – We still have pecans for sale. If you would to purchase of if you
can help us to sell to your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers please
contact Linda Williams.

The next quarterly meeting will be held on June 16th at 6:30. This will be
joint meeting with the men to begin planning for the 2008 Candle Tea. It is
not too early to begin thinking of how you would like to assist and what
crafts or bake goods you will be making.

Church Clean Up

On February 16th approximately 30 people joined together for the church
clean up project.  We were able to accomplish more than was originally
Planned due to the large attendance.  The focus areas of clean up were the
Choir room, hallway closets and drawers, kitchen, downstairs storage room
and upstairs storage room. Our goal of this project was to clean up, clean
out and organize. There is now a place for everything and everything in its
place. Thank you to everyone who took the time out of their busy schedule
to tackle this large project.

Old Salem Tour

There will be a church outing on Saturday May 3rd to Old Salem.  We will
begin our tour at the Moravian Archives with Dan Crews. Upon completion
of the tour we will take time for lunch and then tour all of the historic
buildings and toy museum. The cost of the tour of the historic buildings and
toy museum will be $13.00 for adults - $8.00 for children. There is no cost
for the tour of the Archives. Contact Myrna Webb if you are interested in
attending.
